Walking the old beagle, who can neither see or hear anymore but can keep going for miles through the gathering November dark with the crescent moon lighting the river that smells salt from the tide coming in.
Thank you, Austin, for whole body deliciousness. Lying down when I’m sick and the ‘shoulds’ are hammering in my mind is delicious, my cats curling up on me, a hot shower, the leaves glittering in spring sunshine, doves cooing: all delicious. Reading an excellent, visceral and thought provoking essay: delicious!
I've always used this word when describing my grandchildren, particularly when they were very young. ( those who know that deliciousness of a baby, toddler or preschooler fresh from the bath, where you want to nibble on them...well, you know). More and more I find myself using this word to describe special, lovely people or experiences, many of which you mentioned. Thank you Austin, now I'm going to assign deliciousness to everything I can!
Eating a peach in the summer. Drinking hot chocolate, maybe together with an appreciative kiddo, maybe alone with a book, after working outside in the winter.
I felt deliciousness today when I gave my great niece the gift of having her colors done by my image consultant. It was pure joy to see her respond to all the things that she learned about herself and color. I love her so very much.
The sound of dried beans in a bowl as I move my hand through them - celebratory. The purring of a contented cat. The dawn awakening that keeps me under the covers just a bit longer to feel the world come awake once again.

As you said, the ink from that special pen... when it glides on the page...

Being with my people...that’s delicious 🥰

Giggles and happy chatter from little girls building a fort in our woods on a clear sunny fall day. ✨🍂
Cold tea on a hot day, taking off a bra after a long day and my baby's laugh
Love this...beautiful!
