Hello friends.
How are you doing? This time of year and this year (gestures wildly*) have the potential to make me want to curl up with all the soft, all the cozy, all the fuzzy, all the feel good.
*My inbox is screaming at me with last-chances and end-of-year sales and my reps don’t always answer their phones and the people keep forgetting to never forget.*
A few weeks ago, I put out an ask for a feminist advent on the socials. So many of you seemed interested in the idea that I decided to make my own!
For the next week, I would love to send you that days. Don’t be scared. I won’t be able to keep up with daily outgoing emails for much longer than that. My hope is they will fill you up when you might not have realized you were hungry, or whether, like me, you were ravenous for a re-imagined advent calendar.
Of course we had to kick things off with hearing from…
I know this time of year can feel extra isolating, especially when you are watching the events around the world and then hear/see what your family or colleagues think about things. If you are looking for a place to re-imagine and re-charge your anti-racism work, come join my Patreon. And there is no better time join than now because this Thursday we our having our first ever non-holiday Holiday Party with Special Guest ANDRE HENRY!!!
Hope to see you there!!
Full of wise women,
Austin
PS If you are needing a boost go check out the comments on my last substack. I loved them all (don’t make me choose my favorite) so here’s just one:
“After turning 60 years old (WTH??!!) I decided to add to the degree I got back in the 80s with a Graduate Diploma in Theology - and it is AMAZING!!! Putting aside all the answers I've been fed for the past 60 years (seriously, WTH??!!!) I am opening myself up to new ideas and facts that are mind-blowing to say the least! I even love the assignments, though the deadlines are a bit short. I love reading your blogs and your encouragement to be more me, and this couldn't be more 'me'!” - Geri
