Dear Troublemakers,

Happy Friday! I don’t know about you, but this weekend could not come soon enough. Our family is taking the kiddo for the weekend so my husband and I have the next few days home alone and if that isn’t music to this introverts ears I dunno what is. Although what I am really longing for these days is a vacation. To sleep in a different bed and wake up looking at different walls. Staycations for me used to be so fun when I was traveling 4 times a month. Now they have lost a bit of their luster.

One of my favorite parts of traveling was when wherever I was speaking I was given time with just the Black students/professionals/staff before or after speaking to everybody else. It brought me so much life. Which is one reason I am so thankful for technology these days. That I can have the energy and filled up feeling of being with people who understand me without having to pack a thing.
